over all the fire glow looks quite nice though with just a warm and soft light source you might want to up the shadows in the future so the light source look sless intense. i love the captured emotions in this and as usual your wonderful detail. You put texture on snape's robes and that roughness just suits the contrast of hermione's softer lighter clothing. great work.

Wow! That is beautiful! I love their faces and the whole atmosphere. I love the lighting with their shadows on the wall. Very beautiful overall.

THAT is one day's work? Outrageous.

There are so many details that are just so charming and breathe such life into this vignette. I love Snape's quiet, coiled tension, attentive, as Hermione eases his discomfort. Hermione's own unself-conscious position, with legs wide, because they are, after all, on their own, and she is intent on her task.

Hermione's wrap, lightweight, pinned with a decorative broach, fringe slightly frayed, leaning at different angles. The slender, satin ruffle at the hem of her skirt.

I love the glow from the hearth and the tall silhouettes cast against the wall. I can feel the warmth.

And, naturally, Snape wouldn't remove his coat to bare his arm, would he? Nope, just push up both sleeves while remaining otherwise fully buttoned up. Dignity to the end.
